Recently we were in Limerick, Ireland. So we decided to learn a bit about that poetry style and make some up ourselves. Enjoy!
Family Trip by Meggan
(contains some real info)
There once was a family that went on a trip,
Through 7 countries in pools they did dip,
But the mom was old
She got rather cold
So off to South France they must zip.
Navigator Mom by Ava
(contains some real info)
There once was a great navigator
Who helped her spouse to drive straighter.
Her kids all cheered "Yay!"
And 'twas on that day
That mankind vanquised the hater.
Puzzle Snuzzle by Ava
There once was an awesome sister
Whose pronouns did not include 'mister.'
She loved puzzles much,
She loved them such,
That one day a puzzle kissed her.
Marble Fun by Ava
(contains some real info)
Marbles are so very fun
We play with them under the sun
We roll them about
And can say without doubt
That this is a limerick now done.
Grandma by Rachel
(contains some real info)
There once was the best grandma ever
She'd never stop traveling, never.
She travelled to Greece
Wearing quite little fleece
Just to visit her grandkids wherever.
Ups and Downs of Being Abroad
We missed our family and brothers,
We look forward to seeing our mothers,
Our time zones are messed,
But traveling's the best,
But wish we could visit with others.
